Biography

Whitney Ann Jenkins grew up in West Virginia, surronded by musicians who would get together to jam with their banjos and guitars. She went to Chicago where she studied Acting at Columbia College, and then pounded the pavement in Los Angeles. After being featured on the TV show Scrubs for .05 seconds, she became frustrated with the inauthenticities that came along with being in the industry, and picked up a guitar and started writing songs to cope with the daily dramas. 

After a cliche experience with a music producer, she packed up all of her sundresses and took her guitar to Italy where she wrote and played her music in cafes and taught English to a family that she didn't know. 

Out of these events emerged the band Whitney Ann Jenkins and her Platonic Guy Friends, and the debut album Down Stage Left.

She most recently released a song entitled Enough is Enough inspired by the tragedy of the Parkland High School shooting in Florida...

"Set to plaintive acoustic guitar, "Enough is Enough" is intimate and fragile. Jenkins' delicate, sorrowful voice echoes the bruised feelings of her words. The lyrics do not hold back in their sadness and anger while the music
